Focused Ultrasound in Primary Care - Introductory Course
This course has been designed for Primary Care Physicians with little or no previous experience of ultrasound.
The course will provide you with an introduction to basic ultrasound physics and an understanding of instrumentation that will enable you to generate diagnostic ultrasound images. The main clinical applications that will be taught on this course include:
- Abdominal Aortic Ultrasound
- Gallstones
- Deep Vein Thrombosis
This is a practical course, limited to small groups, so that everyone gets the hands-on experience they need.
The course includes a session on setting up a focused ultrasound service in primary care. This session includes advice on purchasing equipment, suggested buisiness case enablers, further training and accreditation.
