An Introduction to Emergency Ultrasound
This College of Emergency Medicine approved one day course is aimed at clinicians wanting to introduce ultrasound into their clinical practice. During the day, we will cover
- The physics of ultrasound
- Instrumentation
- Aortic scanning
- FAST scanning
- Cardiac & Thoracic ultrasound
- Vascular access
- Training and logbooks
The faculty includes Consultants in Radiology and Emergency Medicine with extensive experience in the practice and teaching of Emergency Ultrasound. Using a combination of interactive lectures and hands-on workstations, this course will teach the basics of Emergency Ultrasound, and give you the confidence to start practicing.
A combined introduction to critical care and emergency ultrasound course is also available. This covers all Level 1 Emergency Ultrasound indications with extra teaching on focused echo in critically ill patients. Click here for details.
