ECCU: Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound
This Canadian Emergency Ultrasound Society (CEUS) and College of Emergency Medicine approved one day course is aimed at clinicians wanting to introduce ultrasound into their clinical practice.
This course has been designed for all doctors in acute care e.g. Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Surgery. It provides the core knowledge for the CEUS IP training and is applicable to other 'Acute Care' specialties.
During the day, we will cover
- How to use an ultrasound machine
- Aortic and IVC scanning
- FAST scanning
- Cardiac & Thoracic ultrasound
- Vascular access
- Pelvic ultrasound
- Training and certification
Using a combination of interactive lectures and hands-on workstations, this course will teach the basics of Emergency & Critical Care Ultrasound, and give you the confidence to start practicing.
